    Q: Do you guarantee live delivery on your crickets?

    A: Yes we guarantee live delivery provided certain conditions are met. Please visit our guarantee page for additional information. We take extreme care to ensure that the crickets we so lovingly raised arrive at your doorstep safe and sound.

    Q: What size crickets do you sell?

    A: We have all sizes available ranging from pin heads, freshly born, to full grown adults of approximately 1” inch. As we use a slow growth technique here on the farm we sell by size rather then by age. While ours may take 8 weeks to mature those grown in the south or on the west coast may take only 5.

    Q: I need crickets every other week. Do you accept standing orders?

    A: We have a great standing order program that ensures a steady supply of crickets of the highest quality. You tell us how frequently you want fresh crickets, what size and how many. We input the order the day prior to shipping which e-mails a notification and allows you the opportunity to alter the order based on your supply if necessary.     Q: What shipping carriers do you use?

    A: We use FedEx ground for NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, and portions of ME, NY and NJ ensuring next day delivery for most of New England. For other locations we use FedEx Standard Overnight and FedEx 2Day.

    Q: Can I pick-up my order personally at the farm and do you deliver?

    A: Yes you can pick-up an order personally at the farm. On the day you wish to pick them up, simply place your order, and during check-out select “Pick-up” as a shipping option and we will have them packed and ready for you. If you wish to place the order ahead of time just send us an e-mail to let us know when you expect to arrive. We need about an hours notice prior to pick-up. Also recommend calling ahead just to ensure someone will be on the farm. Weekend pick-up can also be arranged with an e-mail or phone call. We do offer limited local Friday delivery on commercial orders on a pre-arranged basis only.

    Q: Are your crickets free of other pest insects?

    A: When a shipment leaves our farm it contains crickets and only crickets. Our unique process is designed to ensure a clean environment that is entirely pest free. There are no beetles, spiders, worms or other unwanted insects.

    Q: What is the slow growth process you use on the farm?

    A: A cricket’s metabolism is directly affected by temperature, and their growth rate can be easily controlled and manipulated. “Slow raised” is a process where they are grown at a lower controlled temperature creating less stress on their metabolism. The theory holds that the slower growth rate allows for a potential greater concentration of protein, calcium and other vitamins and minerals critical to the health of your pet. Under our process, for instance, an adult takes 8 weeks to mature versus 6 weeks at other breeders.

    Q: Do you accept personal checks or money orders.

    A: While we will accept personal checks and money orders, the shipment will be held until the funds become available. We offer Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express and PayPal as payment options.

    Q: How do you ship when it’s cold out and does it cost extra?

    A: We take extreme care to ensure that the crickets we so lovingly raised arrive at your doorstep safe and sound. We will provide cold weather packaging which includes a double box plus heat packs where temperatures are predicted to fall below 40 degrees. There is no additional charge for this special packaging. We will hold off shipments where the predicted temperatures are too extreme to ensure live delivery.

    Q: Do you ship everyday of the week?

    A: We ship Monday through Thursday on all orders received by noon Thursday. All orders must have a shipping option selected that would ensure delivery prior to the weekend. All orders received after the cutoff on Thursday will ship out on Monday.
