Shipping Info
Here at Crazy Carl’s Cricket Farm we will take extreme care to ensure that the crickets we so lovingly raised arrive at your doorstep safe and sound. We will include cold and hot pack when extreme weather conditions prevail at no additional charge. We reserve the right to hold off shipment where the predicted temperatures are too extreme, 15 degrees or less, to ensure live delivery. Should there be a loss we will reship your order free of product charge, however you will be responsible for shipping cost. Please realize that so much is beyond our control once the crickets leave the farm. We understand that there are often extenuating circumstances and we are committed to working with you to ensure your satisfaction.
We ship our crickets Monday through Friday, Thursday for 2nd day, via FedEx across the continental United States. We guarantee live delivery for all shipments provided the selected shipping method assures next day, or 2nd day delivery. The FedEx Ground option will ensure next day delivery to the shaded regions and 2nd day to the unshaded as shown in the map below. Extreme western NY and PA will need to select FedEx Express 2Day being outside the ground delivery range.
Our FedEx ground cricket shipping cost starts at only $9.95, including winter pack. We offer a live guarantee with the following shipment options:
- FedEx Ground NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, ME, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD
- FedEx Standard Overnight
- FedEx 2Day for orders received prior to noon Wednesday
- Pre-ordered pick-up or Pre-arranged delivery
All orders received by noon, Eastern Standard Time, will ship same day. All orders received after the noon cutoff will ship the following day. All orders placed after noon on Friday will ship the following Monday. However, should time allow, we will try to ship any order placed after the cutoff on the same day placed.
We can only accept a physical street address; PO Box addresses will not be accepted. Live guarantee will apply provided the delivery is signed for and we must be contacted within 24 hours of any issues or of a DOA (dead on arrival) shipment. Our e-mail address is cccricketfarm@gmail.com.
Our payment options include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, and PayPal. There is also a C.O.D. option used primarily for pick-up and local pre-arranged delivery. Should you wish us to ship via FedEx C.O.D there will be an additional $8.50 charge added. An e-mail will be sent to confirm your acceptance of this additonal charge prior to shipment.
Our New England farm raised crickets are very hearty and will survive cold weather provided they don’t actually freeze. We will provide cold weather packaging which includes double box packaging with a foam insulating liner and heat packs where temperatures are predicted to fall below 40 degrees. Crickets hibernate in the cold and while they may appear dead they are simply sleeping. Upon arrival remove them from the shipping box. Spread them out in a holding container and allow them 4 to 5 hours at room temperature to wake up.
