Dear friends and patrons
The economic downturn caught up with Crazy Carl’s Cricket Farm in August of 2008 and we were forced to shutdown the cricket operation at the end of November 2008. Our business plan relied on a steady rate of growth, and while we enjoyed that month over month, our growth flattened in August. Having exhausted our financial options, and not having adequate operating capital, we had no choice but to close down the cricket production. This was an extremely difficult decision for Kathleen and myself as the farm has been doing so well and held so much promise. We downsized our operations focusing on the mealworm production moving to a much smaller location. Hopefully you will be able to find a new supplier without too much difficulty. It has been a great experience for us both and a pleasure serving you. Live’s an adventure and who knows where we will be a year from now.
Sincerely
Carl and Kathleen Jenkins
